MAKING YOUR WEEK AS COMFORTABLE AS POSSIBLE
The fishery is run on behalf of Andy & Ellen Sutton by avid carp angler and fishery manager/bailiff Martin, along with his wife Lisa and their two children who live in the house on site. Martin is an ex chartered boat skipper and very capable and knowledgeable carp angler who has managed a sydicate back in the UK for many years. He is more than willing to spend as much time as necessary with anyone who needs help and advice. This will make the fishery eminently suitable to the less experienced anglers, or first timers in France, particularly as the lake is easy to fish and not at all intimidating.
PLEASE READ CAREFULLY SOME INFORMATION AND SERVICES HAVE CHANGED!
The manager will meet you on your arrival, supply you with a drink and give you advice on the fishery, including successful baits and methods. If you've not been before we will be happy to take you round the lake and point out features and hotspots.
Thereafter, they will be happy to help and advise you at any time during your stay or leave you entirely to your own devices if you so wish.
We also realise that many anglers don't wish to wind in their gear during meals times. Therefore, we will deliver baguettes or full fry-up breakfasts and evening meals to your swim, enabling you to carry on fishing, if required.
We have a free quad & trailer service to get your gear to and from your swim, thus saving you the need to bring trolleys.
Please note: Martin is happy to perform this service for you, but if you are insistent upon doing it yourself then use of the quad bike is at your own risk and only recommended if you know how to use this equipment properly.
Unhooking mats, large Reuben Heaton scales 240lb (just in case), carp and cat weigh slings. Also good quality landing nets are supplied free of charge.
Should you need to replace any terminal tackle during your stay, we have a small shop that supplies a range by NASH.
FOOD:
Should you wish to have your meals cooked for you? Our resident chef will rustle up 2 meals a day, including a full English breakfast and hot evening meal. These can either be delivered to your swim or eaten in the Chalet.
Similarly should you wish to cater for yourselves we can arrange shopping trips to the supermarket. Please note that we will need a little warning and a clearly written shopping list.
BAIT:
We can arrange the supply of any bait you may need during your stay but do ask you to give us prior notice so we can make sure we have what you need available. We supply three boilie baits, two for carp and one for cats which we have named whiskers. Pellets available in sizes 4.5mm in 25kg sacks, 10 and 16mm in 20kg sacks. Particles also available pre-cooked.
Also available is a good selection of boilies and pop-ups from NASH baits.
BAIT BOATS:
Many anglers boost the numbers of the fish they catch by precise bait placement. The easiest way to do this is by using a bait boat. If you don’t happen to own one of these you can simply hire one for the week from us! Please enquire when booking.
GUESTS:
Non-fishing guests are welcome but we make a very modest charge, (Only charged when the total of anglers and non-anglers exceeds six) to cover wear and tear in the Chalet and for electricity and gas etc. Please do note that we only allow a maximum of four extra non-angling guests per full group of six.
We would like be known as a family orientated fishery and are therefore very happy to welcome ladies. Nor do we have any aversion to youngsters, but there are insurance implications for under 16's, so please speak to us first if you would like to bring any youngsters between 12 and 16.
NB. Because of the lakes, we really do not regard the venue as being suitable for youngsters under 12 years old.
